Enjoy a Family-Friendly Wilderness Hike

Explore the great outdoors and see the beautiful wildflowers on display during a family friendly hike on Saturday, April 8. Discover the beauty of Ferber Ranch where children can create nature-related crafts, learn about the surrounding protected lands, and enjoy a mild hike that’s fit for feet of all sizes.

Hosted by OCTA, this interpretive excursion will take place on the 400-acre Ferber Ranch Wilderness Preserve, which contains vital wildlife corridors. OCTA’s acquisition of the property allows this core segment of the Trabuco Canyon area to be permanently protected and ensures the preservation of high quality habitat and mobility for wildlife into the Cleveland National Forest.

All ages are welcome to attend with parent or guardian, activities are appropriate for children ages 4 and over. No strollers are permitted on the trail. The short and easy hike is a ½ mile one way. For those who want to trek the full-loop trail, the moderate hike is about two miles. The hike begins at 10 a.m.
