Charming San Clemente Has Something for Everyone

Nestled in a curve of the Pacific, San Clemente is a favorite of surfers, shoppers, history buffs, and everyone who has ever enjoyed a beach town.

Metrolink is the perfect way to get to San Clemente. As with all Metrolink trips, the rail journey itself is relaxing because there’s no need to worry about traffic or parking. The train stops at both the Pier Station and the North Beach Station, and the San Clemente Trolley connects both stations with great destinations along the way. The trolley will operate through Sept. 30.

Wondering what to do when you get there? Not a problem. We’ve mapped out four itineraries that encompass the best the city has to offer, along with suggestions on where to shop, eat, and cycle. Along the way, show your Metrolink ticket at places like Casa Romantica, Beachfire Bar and Grill, Ellie’s Table, and Italian Cravings to get a discount. Learn more about these deals here.

Your trip to San Clemente (or anywhere else Metrolink travels) is only $10 for unlimited rides all day either Saturday or Sunday. Kids age 5 and under ride free with paying adult. Metrolink pass holders also ride for free on weekends.

Better yet, enter to win a free day trip to San Clemente including four Metrolink day passes, four tickets to Casa Romantica, and a $40 gift card to Ellie’s Table.

Don’t forget to bring your surfboard onboard – Metrolink has special places to stow it so you can ride the waves.
