Celebrate Whales and Swallows in March with Metrolink

March is a great time to discover the fun of riding a Metrolink train to great destinations. Relax with your family and leave driving and parking hassles behind. For a limited time, free Metrolink tickets are available for both events.

First up is the annual Festival of Whales, which returns to Dana Point for two weekends on March 4 & 5 and 11 & 12. Celebrating the migration of the California gray whales, the festival begins with a parade on March 4 and includes fun activities such as whale-watching excursions. Get a 50% discount on a whale-watching trip from Dana Wharf just for showing your Metrolink ticket. Find out more about the event here.

Next is the Swallows Day Parade and Mercado in San Juan Capistrano on March 25. Each year, the swallows return to this lively town and its famous mission, and the locals celebrate the event with a parade and street festival. Hop aboard a Metrolink train and join them! You can also purchase your tickets using Metrolink’s mobile ticketing app. Download the app here. The Metrolink Weekend Day Pass is only $10 for unlimited rides all day either Saturday or Sunday.
